Over the last few days it's become obvious this is basically a lower-density board where you can talk about whatever, have it stay on the front page for more than half a second, and not be flooded with newfags and plebs. Yeah some newfags pay up, but if you could see "everyone viewing 4chan" vs "people who paid for 4chan passes" numbers, there's going to be a massive decrease in newfags and plebs in the /vip/ group.
It's also a good place to form some new memes or escape board-specific memes. Like, so far I've been able to talk a bit about a few of the Visual Novels without adaptations here without needing to go to some terrible board that I don't know the culture of, or hearing "VNs aren't anime or manga" or "VNs don't need to be on /b/". THIS is the board for "discuss anything, no limits and no retards that can successfully report you for going off-topic".
