I would have to agree with this. There are a lot of subcultures that in their own way are counterculture. One that I think is a little strange is "Nerd" culture becoming mainstream. A lack of uniformity and a celebration of uniqueness no matter the position of strength becoming mainstream is counter culture to all of history and now is the norm. What happens when counter culture is normal?

It's like the ending to A Clockwork Orange where Alex and them become old enough to the point where they no longer find the childish games they played amusing.
