>Gen 1: A big metropolis with criminals and street thugs>Gen 2: An old town in the outskirts of said city (there was one or two modern spots, but many are old small towns)>Gen 3: A relatively hub/coast town with many biomes to choose. Maybe too much water, but different lands makes it interesting>Gen 4: We are back to old outskirts town, with some key areas that talk about faiths and beliefs. This is not counting the church at the biggest city>Gen 5: America. Why the fuck you want to go to the US? You already live there!>Gen 6: France. Pretty and fancy, but the damage was done, so we were still salty>Gen 7: A beach with cute girls, cute women, cute Pokémon, funny delinquents, wacky aliens, wtf moments, and a very chill vibe. A bit of handholding, but the girl holding your hand is cute tooGen 7 was a break of all the bullshit that came before. After so many misses, we finally have a laid back story, basically being told to us. We were along for the ride.
