The heat was the first thing she felt,

a humid, suffocating wall of air. As she was forced down the beast's throat, the slick walls of its esophagus pulsed rhythmically, dragging her deeper.
"It burns! Please let me out!" she shrieked, her voice muffled by the thick lining of the creature's throat.
Emmydook's muffled laughter echoed from the outside. "Shut up and focus on dying faster! I've got a whole region to eat."
Digested Alive
Inside the stomach, the "burning" turned into an agonizing reality. The gastric juices began to hiss against her clothes, the intense heat turning her panic into a fever dream. It was dark, cramped, and smelled of the end.
Her Thoughts: She thought of the Sinnoh region, now defenseless. She thought of her grandmother in Celestic Town. Most bitterly, she thought of how she had underestimated a monster that viewed her legendary status as nothing more than a high-calorie appetizer.
Cruel Taunts: From above, Emmydook’s voice boomed through the fleshy walls. "Can you feel that, Champion? That’s the feeling of becoming part of something greater. My strength. By tomorrow, you'll just be the energy I use to swallow Sunyshore City."
A Dark Relationship
This wasn't their first meeting; Emmydook had once been a small, strange creature Cynthia had studied in the ruins. She had treated it with curiosity, even kindness. That "friendship" had been a mask. Emmydook had waited, growing, learning her team's weaknesses, and fueled by a deep-seated resentment for the "strong" who ruled the land. Now, as she dissolved into the monster's core, the hierarchy of Sinnoh had been permanently, and violently, inverted.
