Which means either the vast majority of Pokemon have sapience independent of being a weird ass creature (which explains Pokopia and shit like TR Meowth pulling whole conversations out of "Pikapi"), or we have to start questioning the ethics of Pokemon breeding too.
Personally I would accept the former since it's pretty obvious those drafts are supposed to serve the message of Pokemon being different but equal to humans rather than "actually Pokeporn is canon."
