Does anyone have that Sugimori quote/interview where he says the official pokemon sizes(in gen 1) were not decided by the pokemon designer artists(cant remember if he blames tajiri directly as the writer of the pokedex) and he says at times they were surprised how the scale doesn't match at all how they actually envisioned them originally

Mind you I'm pretty sure he was referring specifically to gen 1 so it wouldn't surprise me by now there's likely more communication and back and forth between artists and writers(?) to make sure everyone is on the same page

again, if somebody knows where to find the actual interview a link would be nice

Despite being almost twelve feet tall, Groudon is only 2094.4 lbs.

That height comes from contemporary images in the teraleak docs and I treat as a lower bound. It doesn't actually say how big the birds are either, except by comparing them to ash, so if he's bigger, so are the birds.
Here's one with a 140cm Ash.
I didn't exactly find it ridiculous given that they're a japanese child though.

like I guess the translator fucked up there which, is why I included the first name there - only thing is the first name doesn't include things like "mega" or whatever in it because this was a bit of a bitch to translate.
