Haven't even really lurked these threads, but I see it pop up all the time. Noticed you guys had a demo up and played through it last night.
While far from perfect it's very well made, and at the end I wanted it to keep going, but that said I lost to the Outlaw twice. Having a Ghost type as powerful as Somberado as an enemy, at a point in the game in which the most ubiquitous attacks are Scratch and Tackle? Really. My first fight against him, my only means of damaging it was Water Gun and its special defense is astronomical, apparently.
Pebblosa's sand spam, mud slap, and chance to paralyze made dungeon crawls tedious, though having my own was quite a boon once he got going.
Despite myself I appreciated the difficulty as well, and difficulty that is not just making the enemies overlevelled at that. All I could really ask is making the experience bar go faster.
