>>49268177When it comes to the sprite they were limited by the gameboy hardware, and really in his original finalized artwork (pic related) ken sugimori doesn't really make him look anything like the sprite and for intents and purposes the ken sugimori art is what the pokemon looks like and the game sprites are just an approximation.
