LGPE was seen as a waste of development time and a cash-grab, but at least everything shit about it could be dismissed as "cash-grabbing".
SwSh did something unprecedented for a reason that so far doesn't seem to make sense. Why would GF cut Pokemon to save development time on graphics when the graphics are lackluster compared to other Switch titles, and the fact that Creatures Inc. already made the models and could do so again?
