Because all the moments were old and irrelevant and retconned. Misty's crush was just a relic from a time when the world wasn't fully fleshed out or, worse, "invented by 4kids". It sucked, but whatever. People can be as defensive as they want about their story preferences, I'll just keep enjoying mine and hoping others enjoy it too. If I were in amour fan's shoes right now, I'd still be doing the same thing. I know what I'm here for
