what truly dooms pokemon is that it try to cater to both people who never left the franchise and old fan that left many years
and it does good and bad to both party
in one hand it bring new thing to people who are still on the hype train but too many call back to the past with recuring old pokemon cuting the place for new one show that TPC is still shy on making great new pokemon game
and on the other the old fan have anchor point in old pokemon and call back to setting they know will bein alienated by all the new wacky thing added throught recent generations
regional forms are exactly that, both a call back and breath of fresh air while expanding on possibility and depth on what a pokemon is
but can freak some old fan and being to much a reminder too old pokemon and annoy the actual fan
it a big problem when your franchise is 25 yrs old but i personaly like the steps legend arceus is making and by that we will have greater pokemon game if we speak more on what we like about it
