>>48172536Some people get tired of posting on 4chan after dealing with all the trolling, buzzword spam, stupidity and general hostility. So then they try other alternatives like popular social media platforms. Unfortunately, it's hard to have civil discourse anywhere on the internet nowadays, because most people are obsessed with validation. You can't reason with people who don't want reason. People who only want validation can't be reasoned with, because their goal is to act as insufferable as possible in an argument until you give up, so that you can't disillusion them. People adamantly protect their beliefs and delusions, because they're too insecure to live without them, and incapable of growing past them. It's like trying to take a children's toy away from a manchild, they're going to throw a tantrum and stop you from taking their toy away at all costs. Furthermore, these issues are made worse by the fact that most people don't want to read posts that are longer than a few sentences. You can prove someone wrong or simply create a good post with helpful information, but if your post is a decent size, people will plug their ears and scream until you go away. The internet is a glorified kindergarten at this point.
