There are areas like the Pokemon League or Battle Subway, where the music builds with more instruments as you progress. Or on the Village Bridge, where minor vocals are added to the song as you talk to different people. Similarly, in places like Accumula Town or Opelucid City, you can find NPCs like the Piano girl or Keytar guy who play instruments from their town's OST. Different Gyms in BW2 had their own specific themes to match their Gym Leaders and types. Route themes are slightly different variations based on what season you were in. And on and on. Gen 5 OST had an absurd amount of effort put into it.
