>>42780231We got our Pokemania few years after USA, the biggest craze around 2000-2001, but I remember all of it: watching the show (and movies on VHS), collecting figurines, stickers, and tazos (those were definitely the most popular among kids). Cards were more popular only in bigger cities, and getting actual GBC wasn't something most kids would expect, but emulation around that time was already a thing and parents were more likely to invest into PC as it was multipurpose, I had my 16y old cousin setup things up for me (I was 9 in 2001) so I could play, he had to burn a CD with all the files because I didn't even have internet connection yet, and pendrives weren't even around at the time. Had other GBC games that way and a whole bunch of flash games and animations that were popular at the time, because it was obviously a waste of a perfectly fine CD to not fill it with random stuff.
