>>48974874So I wanted to triple check every basic source I could, since a couple people in the thread said there were Silph Co. notes, or maybe there was flavor text. The only thing I could consistently find was, "Rumored that it was made after a pulse of energy was blasted into a Pokeball". It's possible OP's mind just warped that into it being a lab accident, since that's not too far off of a connection.
