There are only a couple of episodes I genuinely like in AT and those usually focus on some sort of background history, usually between marceline and PB just because I find them much more interesting characters. Everybody else is pretty obnoxious/boring.
That being said, Pokemon and AT are in two completely different categories even if both of them are aimed at children. You can't compare them because they don't even remotely have the same concept.
