It's just that, guess what, anime has changed a lot in the last 25 years.well that's what I mean, people here like the DBZ-esque style because DBZ in itself is steeped in a ton of nostalgia here (particularly from Toonamifags) from people who normally think anime is icky and gross and stinky but DBZ and anything that vaguely resembles it on a visual style gets a pass because it was their childhood
but at the end of the day Pokemon always chased visual trends, now people are just upset that anime aesthetics in general have changed
