>>56982318Volo is a frustrating character. Like, there's almost something there with an implied sad backstory that drove him to want to create a world where terrible things don't happen. He could have had a neat story about the classic Problem of Evil in real life religious philosophy, but applied to a world where god is confirmed to exist and can possibly be met or controlled. Unfortunately all this stuff is just hinted at by a few lines of dialogue at the very end of the story and isn't meaningfully explored at all.
