This is also why the "hair" shakes and pulses when it attacks. They also have the magnets function as "legs" turning it into a false quadruped, as well as the same sand on it's magnets forming a set of spikes on it's "back", due to it trying to be a dinosaur, which is honestly very clever and looks cool in motion.
Sandy Shocks' only flaw is that it looks so similar to Magneton, but this is a trapping of Paradox Pokemon as a whole and not the fault of Shocks itself. As a concept it pushes the idea of "magnet monster" far better than Magnezone, which drops the idea entirely for a new theme of being a UFO.
