The only issue is, we'd hit a massive issue, Wild Pokemon in the world of Pokemon are seen as opportunities for friendships/battle/workers/servants/tools/slaves/etc. so them being a wild Pokemon opens them up to being captured at random. So what we'd probably do is capture them, and just never use the Pokeball for anything ever. Like put it in a safe somewhere so other people can't attempt to capture them. Pokeballs have a great amount of use for transportation or protecting the Pokemon from harm/further harm, but its a risk I'm sure they'd be more comfortable with braving rather than being put in one of those things, after all, human's don't have Pokeballs, why should a Pokemon?
