though my personal view on the matter is sometimes the easiest things to do in life (i.e. i enjoy my casual game, who cares if its casual) can still have negative consequences in the long run. but all the real negative outcomes of this particular straw man's actions that i can think of can basically be countered by who cares hes a gamer anyway so he's already lost.
ultimately whats worse is the consequences of framing everything as an A or B scenario. this meme is more wrong than either of them for doing that, as life is more complicated than that, and i think we can all agree we've begun to see on a mass scale the consequences of petty tribalism on society.
