>>37537331I've played through sun and ultra sun and really didn't mind the (mostly) repeated storyline. If you want a gripping storyline full of highs and lows than pokemon isnt the rpg for you. The blank slate story, which is written for kids, allows the player to insert themself into the adventure. USUM is like a vacation to me, you bob along at your own pace. And yeah I've sunk a tonne of hours into post game as well.
