Pokemon Presents announced tomorrow for Friday at 6am PST. Some TCG Pocket, Unite and Go News. Ends with a new trailer for PLZA. Releases April 25th, 2025.
Set 50 years before X & Y. Quasar is a development company founded to rebuild Kalos way back when. With Lumiose becoming unkempt and untidy, Lyall and Maple - two up-and-comers at Quasar - propose a redevelopment project to breathe new beauty into the city and make it a mecca for people and Pokemon to live together. You play as a new recruit working under them. The gameplay is mostly like PLA - do missions, rise through ranks, beat up boss Pokemon of the five Wards of Lumiose, and so forth.
There's a huge tree where Prism Tower is. There's a scene of people protesting how Quasar plans on tearing it down.
Starters are Snivy, Scorbunny and Mudkip.
New megas shown: Hypno, Drampa, Eldegoss
New regional forms shown: Koffing (a pinkish perfume bottle) and Baltoy (looks like a knitting doll). They don't show it in the trailer but I caught a Normal/Dark Hattena that looks like a mime.
Ends with a bunch of Zygarde cores surrounding the tree, but they're not all Zygarde's cores. Some are purple, two legs, and have a star on their stomachs.
That's all they show in the trailer. I'm not far in my playthrough but it's basically the same as PLA. You have a dream about talking to something underground that begs you not to let the city change. You wake up, and go to your first day at Quasar.
The wild Pokemon are everywhere - inside houses, by the canals, in patches of grass, trees, cafes. They'll just run up to you or run away.
Size wise it's pretty big. I've only run around probably half of the First Ward and it's already about 3x the size of Jubilife Village.
