It just seemed to get worse per generation with this shit. Instead of iconic mons, we kept getting shitters that would be forgotten a generation after they were created i.e. buizel, mothim,etc. Mon is for monster, not every fucking animal has to be a pokemon.
We could have had mystery dungeon quality in gen 3 or puzzle league quality in gen 2 if the roster size was smaller and everything was useful
