It's probably the most "ambiguous" starter, as you can't tell if it's a reptile, synapsid, or a toad. And the evo line's japanese names doesn't even put emphasis on the animal basis too. It seems that they thought about designing an "unusual plant" than a literal one. Which seems somewhat clever if you think of it.
