>>28737910The characters are kinda stale I'd guess you'd call it. Replacing character with quirks and shit like that. They were all extremely trope dependent and weren't "breaking the mold" as I once thought due to the hype. Also look up Space Funeral; a lot of the humor is lifted straight from it and it came out in 2010.
Maybe I would have liked it better if it went the way of OFF and had a relatively minor fan base. I mean, OFF suffers a lot of the same issues (the story is basically just silent hill 2) but the fan base is smaller so you see less people praising it as some sort of testament to how gaming is art when it really is just rehashing.
