It was the dominant strategy during that set to win the flip, move first, use rocket sneak attack and rocket trap to get your opponent's hand down to 0 cards, then drop a chaos gym with something like an erika's jigglypuff in active. Now your opponent is stuck dead drawing, and even if they topdeck an oak they only have a 50% chance to escape the hell you've put them in while you whittle them down with a cheap attacker.
