>>41974555Which is fine if he was a new character, but we've seen in 02 that he's willing to walk out in the middle of an exam to go help his friends when they need him. I get the trope and cliche of the character, it's just that it's unfitting when earlier seasons developed the character to go beyond that.
It's character regression at best, and at worst it's just nonsensical when the reason he wants to be a doctor is to help people, only to not help them when his closest friends need him most
Tri does a lot of this, where it introduces problems that were either non-existant or dealt with in the first two seasons, like
Togemon hitting that helicopter, and Tai getting all guilty about not being conscious of protecting bystanders enough, when in 01 you had the kids competently protect the city from Myotismon, or 02 where you had scenes like pic related where the kids diverted traffic or took the fight with Blackwargreymon to uninhabited areas for the sake of the citizens
