>>54033590A lot of/most people who like to speculate or make fanart of anipoke don't actually watch it regularly, or at least haven't since the Indigo League. They think the anime is basically Ash doing Gym badges every 10 episodes, fighting the evil people, having a girlfriend who does her own quest, and in the middle are adaptations of stuff from the games. So they come up with these episode plots where Ash does something neat with a game character, not understanding that the anime creates its own OCs to show off the new Pokemon for the series, and that most of the filler plots take place in a non-descript forest (or in DP's case, a flatland near Mt. Coronet) rather than, say, Saffron City, where there's a lot of cool stuff from the game. The one exception is maybe AG, where they do adapt a lot of the one-off game stuff into filler episodes (like the Winstrate family, or Mr. Briney and Peeko), but even then you've got dozens of non-descript forest/island episodes.
