You got Sonic (SEGA)
You got Snake (Konami)
You got Bayonetta (PlatinumGames)
You got Ryu/Ken (Street Fighter)
You got Cloud (Square-Enix)
You got Joker (Persona)
You got Terry (Fatal Fury/KoF/etc)
Which is potential taken away from Nintendo iconic selection. Such as James Bond or Turok. Bomberman, Brian, Captain Tsubasa. Glover, etc etc etc instead. Since it's a fighting game and such games are very restrictive to begin with.
Pokemon on the other hand is always an incompleted game with the illusion that it will be so much more if you give it time. Yet nothing ever evolves because they will add +100-200 monsters to a dexs that is overly bloated and chumps eat it up.
The animations never get fixed but look there's weather now graphics don't improve because look 3D models now. The developers know that the community is able and willing to accept getting conned and if they ever get found out they just need to crank up the effort from 1 to 3 and it will put everyone back to a nice peaceful sleep.
