The card rarity also almost doesn't matter, except that it has to be one of the rarer types on top of being a popular subject. Despite having the same rarity, a Giratina card from the same set goes for hundreds of dollars. However, there are more than one Giratina cards in the same rarity, and only the one with the bitchin' art goes for ludicrous amounts.
And there's rarer cards that on average go for more than this rarity, but individually the cards almost never reach the heights of the most expensive full arts because the usual gimmicks, such as being all gold or being just designs floating in a colored void, aren't as popular.
