Outbreaks in this game let you cycle through 10-15 pokemon in less than 15s per picnic reset
a little more if you're in a spot where it's better to run in and out because of cluster spawns outside the outbreak
average of almost 1 shiny check PER SECOND , on a 1/500 chance?
With NO LIMIT?
I already have 2 shinies and I'm not even done with the story, I am absolutely confident that with 1/500 you could sit in 1 mass outbreak the whole day and get out of it with 20+ shinies
PLA's shiny alert + Outbreaks devalued shinies to the point where even I didn't care anymore
I have so many shinies in PLA that I don't care about, but they just spawned in and alerted me so I could not possibly have missed them
