Grim is ridiculously good at battling (he's basically god-mode at predicting how the opponent is going to act that's like his Pokemon Special gimmick)- too bad he's basically a functional retard. Super excitable and loving, but just... dumb.
Shelly is his loving girlfriend, who is also very excitable, but on the other end of the spectrum. Chose Cyndaquil as her starter because a fire creature is just a no brainer if you're going on a camping adventure. (Grim chose totodile because it danced for him).
The regional professor is studying pokemon genealogy and accidentally created the pokemystery/pokegod by fucking a psychic pokemon.
The regional bad guys are trying to catch the magic pokegod for nefarious reasons.
The regional "Rival" is just a poor guy with a hero complex who is completely at the end of his rope because of all the institutionalized crime going on, so he ends up ruining everyone's day trying to help.
I made it a sequel to GSC, so at one point they meet Bugsy who's in drag because he lost a bet to Gold, but I never got that far. A lot of stupid shit happens.
It's actually funny in a stupid way, and maybe someday I'll upload it.
Then one time I wrote a gen 4 comic where the MC just follows an OCC Pearl around and keep getting interrupted by a Team that is NOT PLASMA, FUCK YOU- then it turns out that OCC Pearl was possessed by a pokegod the whole time and it ends with MC fighting possessed OCC GodPearl after it wrecks the Elite 4 and sows chaos. Also stupid funny, but I never got that far either.
