>>54611470>anon who's complaining about the pendantThat's me!! I can get down with the occasional kaiju battle, and I love trainer vs trainer battles on even footing. What I don't care for is the show repeatedly trying to sell the tension of the 'dangerous explorers' only for the pendant to magically bail Liko out every time.
I like Liko. I like Roy. I think Dot is an especially awesome character. Friede is cool as fuck. I like a lot of the bad guy designs. I think the Brave Asagi is a really cool setting and the Rising Volt Tacklers are all likable as fuck. What holds back a potentially great experience here, for me, is the mystical solutions that are preventing our characters from dealing with stuff on their own and growing. All the pieces are in place for this show to be tons of fun but I think the show introduced too much at once AND isn't letting the protagonists have smaller moments of growth, fun, and competition. The recent run of episodes since Spinel has left a bad taste in my mouth, but I'mma keep watching because I love seeing Pokemon on my screen.
