I could buy Pokémon being a utopia when it was set in Japan, but when you start having blacks and pakis everywhere, it starts to get really unrealistic. The utopian part (outside of evil teams) is already absurd, but now the games are being based on modern day dystopias, and the demographics reflect that, which shatters immersion. It's laziness, pure and simple.
