I talked with a friend recently, and he reminded me of how great character development was in PMD Explorers. I felt more attached to Eevee, my partner than anyone in any game since or prior. Just the way she overcame her cowardice, and put all her trust in me even in the face of death. Some of the background characters were more interesting than most characters in RPG's of today.
