This leak was more or less real. Not sure if the things that got wrong were an early version or if they were just misinformed. I have some more information though.
>Grookey is not part bug, it becomes a "rocker" (they're very clever) gorilla with a big rock that it plays like a drum.
>Scorbunny just kinda gets taller and less cute, gains electric type obviously
>Sobble does stay pure water. It looks vaguely loch-ness but retains some chameleon characteristics.
Elementals are real, but they aren't called that.
>melmetal is one of them, but it stays a meltan for most of the game, you can get one pretty early on. You choose between it and the rock "elemental", your rival gets the one you don't choose.
>the other 16 are the 8 gym leaders', the elite four and champion's, the evil team leader's, and both box legends (dragon and fairy like the original leaker said).
>professor is researching them, all the flowers everywhere are important to elementals, same with the colorful wall on the map near the city with the dugtrio mural.
>after beating a gym you can get the elementals through a battle and sometimes a puzzle, reminds me a bit of trials/z-crystals
Also the evil team is definitely based on vikings. That's probably where the original leaker got the scandinavia idea.
>they use ice types
>it's a kyurem situation, third legendary is a wolf, dark type elemental, team leader hunts it down and uses it
And the original leak got the elemental armor mechanic and box legends right. Also, elementals at the beginning are more like normal pokemon but they get closer to being legendary-tier as the game goes, ending with box legends. Gym leaders use them as elemental armors, but to obtain them you battle the actual elemental on its own.
