>>58721008That's not faraway island, it's the southern island, where you find Latias and Latios, in japanese these two aren't refered to as eon pokemon, but the infinity/dream pokemon (both pronounced むげん mugen), have the power to see what they couldn't normally see and turn themselves into mirages. They are also named after Plato's Timaeus and Critias in an Atlantis reference, and guess what else has Atlantis on it? SV, where Area Zero is internally refered as Atlantis, probably from the iberan peninsula's Tartessos which is believed to be the origin of the legends of Atlantis.
It's a whole connection between Atlantis, dreams and alternatives realities, pretty to have Mega Latias and Mega Latios back and then Mega Darkrai having the whole place being a dream to end the generation, Paldea was basically the land of dreams.
