I always had a shitty pc compared to the norm, but never had any trouble playing on emulators. The only ones that took a few years to develop were the Citra ones, but they ended up running fine. And yuzu seems way more advanced than Citra when XY was released.
No way I'm buying a Switch only to play pokemon.
