The episode was nice. I was expecting it to be totally self-contained, but the end is pointing to them finding the person for the Orio episode next week. It is unfortunate that this all happened in a non-descript Galar city rather than an in-game locale. Setting the episodes in a recognizable in-game city was one of Horizon's strongest suits up to this point. It's also possibly they mentioned they were going to Stow-on-Side in a previous episode and I just didn't notice.
The two big criticisms that I saw from the previous thread were that it sucked to have Cap and Friede bail Liko and Roy out again at the end, and that the show lacks humor. Both are kind of true: I do want to see Liko and Roy actually win on their own for a change, and Horizons is definitely not as goofy as the legacy anime, and I can see why people wouldn't like that. That being said, I don't know why the latter is a criticism of this episode in particular. This did feel the most like an episode of the legacy anime of any Horizons episode so far though. That's neither pejorative or praise, it just is. You could've slotted this episode pretty much anywhere into XY and it would've felt perfectly in character.
