Gimmick: Similar to Clay's first gym Puzzle by having multiple layers. At each level, however, trainers are battled for fossils which are used to complete a skeleton at that level and in turn gives access to the next layer. The fossils and pokemon used get older as the player descends like real geologic layers.
OR
The player progresses through enclosed exhibits with electrified fences where they face "wild" fossil pokemon to move on to the next exhibit. The gym leader would be waiting at the end behind a giant Jurassic Park-esque gate.
