>>29784424>ORAS had TONS of legendsYeah but the problem is they were literally just random hoops in the sky. There was no lore around them, no traversing through difficult or interesting terrain just 'Press A to battle <legendary>'.
This was such a kick in the dick for OR/AS. I'm happy to admit that I'm biased against OR/AS because I never really enjoyed R/S/E but even Gen 4 had actual encounter events for legendary Pokemon and not just random voids. We didn't even get any overworld models.
All in all it seems like S/M are disappointing.
-Postgame just seems to be generic 'Battle <facility>!' and rematches at a slightly higher level (Which is standard anyway).
-Customization appears to be weighted heavily on girls again with boys getting nothing.
-Story twist is a lot more simplistic than I hoped and the whole thing seems truncated.
-Game is ORAS-tier easy and progress is super linear
-Map is pretty much WYSIWYG, not the deep level of exploration we were hoping for
-I'm not a smogonfag so I don't care about stats but I have to admit they are underwhelming and Pokemon like Vikavolt having 43 Speed is just plain nonsensical.
-Guzma
is not ya boi-Sitting removed for no fucking reason, player hitbox is weirdly big compared to the actual model meaning that there's a lot of little patches of ground you feel you should be able to walk on but can't because you're too big
-Having to press A to open doors is just pointless and the prompt you get to press A to pick up items/open doors is beyond QOL and just unnecessary.
The music is nice, the new Pokemon are good and the region is very comfy and pretty but..unless there's some unannounced extra content waiting for us I don't think I'll be playing this past the New Year, there's just not enough to keep amused with.
