>>48077602Trainer Classes:
The player's default class is "Pokemon Trainer", which offers no upsides or downsides. Basically, the most balanced and generic class available to players, who just want to play as a generic, non-gimmicky Pokemon trainer
Soon after defeating the first gym, players unlock the ability to change their class into other trainer classes they've defeated in battle
These can range from Youngster/Lass, to Ace Trainer, to more type-based classes such as Bug Catcher and Hiker
These trainer classes give the player's Pokemon bonuses in-battle. Some examples being Bug Catcher's Bug-Type Pokemon gain 1.1x Speed, if at least 50% of the team consists of Bug-Type Pokemon, to granting more powerful supereffective attacks/more resistant resistances as Ace Trainer, ect
I'm kinda explaining this badly, but hopefully you get the idea. These bonuses will also apply in online battles, but you can disable them and play against other players with trainer classes disabled
