>>56594220So, is your insinuation that the leak was partially real with fake shit inserted? Cause GameFreak already confirmed there was a data breach, and wrote a public apology especially in light of personal employee information (and photos!) being made public.
It's plausible, definitely, but how likely is it? They've already been confirmed to have internal documents. They'd also need to be fluent in Japanese, mind you, considering all the text is 100% written by native speakers and not some shitty translations. That part is probably more likely though, the "hack" was actually a phishing attack against a GF employee so the "hacker" most likely is proficient enough in Japanese to at least write a convincing email or something (or maybe they just ChatGPT'd that shit and it came across as Nigerian Prince emails with somewhat broken Japanese but understandable enough to trick someone who has their guard down).
There's stuff like game source code in there, which nobody has access to, so it's not just a couple of "hacked roms" like you're insinuating. That means they'd get their hands on the source code and purposefully insert their own shit into it.
At some point you're making this way more complicated than it has to be and should just resort to good ol' Occam's Razor. It's not always right, but it's a good base to start with before you start going off conspiracies that start straying from what's realistically possible for a single person (or even small group) to pull off.
