Is it weird that I lost most of my hype for Sun and Moon after the rom leak datamine revealed things like no rematchable generic NPC trainers again, the removal of the National Dex combined with Alola's shallow range of Pokemon, no really good place to grind coupled with the Gen V EXP scaling system coming back with the same problems it had due to not having a cap as to when the reduction stops, which itself means that getting a mon ready for Hyper Training will be a nightmare; SOS Battles being fucking aggravating and the only real way to EV train outside of Festival Plaza and Isle Evelup now that hordes are gone and the Macho Brace isn't obtainable, Festival Plaza being an almagamate of the PSS and Join Avenue without most of the features that made them loved, the number of NPC trainers with incomplete movepools at high levels, the removal of the one thing that made the PGL worth it, and how shallow customisation is even compared to X and Y, even though I love how they've gone back to Unova-tier characters and plot, and enjoy some features such as the new breeding mechanics?
How do I stop being so cynical and pessimistic about everything, Pokemon or not? I've gotten myself into the habit where I feel that things turn out better if I don't let myself get excited for them.
