Leaf is not most peoples favorite, any and every poll ever made or attempted ends with her losing. Some people may find her ok at best, but she's certainly not anyones favorite.
If she was going to get promotion this year then why has the Pokemon official twitter made about half a dozen posts with Green in them? Where is Leafs?
If she was going to get merch they would have announced some by now, instead we're getting Ruby/Sapphire May figure next month, because May is more popular.
Green is the more popular and well known Kanto girl now, so she should get the merch instead.
