>>20980417It's a funny line to tread between making a "villain" and a "hated character." For Zubat, I admit that I might've made him a bit more spiteful than what you'd see back in PMD Explorers. However, I do not actually detest the character of Zubat and Koffing. In fact, I actually rather enjoy the personalities I've given them, as extreme as they may be.
Writing a character that does bad things with a bad attitude can be difficult. If you don't push it far enough, it'll make your villain seem like a joke, thus removing any sort of tension and suspense in any scene regarding them. If you make them too extreme though, you're turning that character into a crazy monster. I'm oversimplifying this, of course. There's a lot more to keep in mind when writing bad guys.
