>>51830898Yeah I agree with this analysis completely, the so called flaws of Diamond and Pearl are brought about by Gamefreak's bizarre marketing strategy of making 2 versions that are made obsolete by superior sister versions. It might sound silly but I actually find some of those niggles charming, at least the slow health bars. Always made the fight feel more intense lol.
As for X and Y, yeah those were the first games I remember really not enjoying, I didn't even do the post game once I completed the elite 4. It was a shame because I thought a lot of the pokemon designs were cool and Lumiose City was awesome but the story and difficulty as well as the region design kind of took me out of it.
