Dio can see your tactic from a mile away, relying on Dig to dodge Flare Blitz after Flare Blitz in some 'crafty' way of getting the sandstorm buffeting to faint Talonflame on his own. Dio doesn't like this one bit, he finds it a cheap tactic.

Dedenne pops out of the ground at the same time that Talonflame swoops in to use U-turn. Both it and Dig collide at the same time, the latter dealing super-effective damage thanks in all part to Roost's hazardous secondary effect on birds.
"FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"!
"Den, den, Dedenne!~"
Dedenne is tackled into the ground with U-turn, but survives thanks to resistance. Talonflame on the other hand, is just one hit from going down, but he switches out before he can give Dedenne a chance to attack.
