The killing stall argument is overhyped with every Generation. I'm not saying X or Y Pokémon is not gonna be good, I haven't looked at the Pokémon much myself. But I've gone through generations, i've seen Xurkitree. Be weary of something that only has a good matchup against Stall. It's not worthless, and Xurkitree didn't turn out bad, but you need a bit more to make it to OU. People commited to defeating one playstyle are niche at best usually. You need it to pull its worth in tougher matchups.
That's what Crawdaunt does, for example. Great stall matchup but when it finds an opportunity, like doubling on a Clefable or after a death to a bulkier threat, it comes in, and something dies or gets chipped a huge amount. Even it is ultimately bound to other Pokémon: Times where Fini rose in usage, Crawdaunt became weaker, because that's one of the few things that can come in on it.
